Remote USB Recovery

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 9, 2026

1. What we collect

We may collect your name, email address, phone number, appointment details, operating-system version, storage-device type, connection method, device-detection status, problem description, and information about the files you want recovered.

2. Remote session information

During a remote diagnostic session, information visible on your Windows or macOS computer may be viewed only as necessary to evaluate the storage device and recovery feasibility. You remain responsible for closing unrelated private applications and documents before the session.

3. Payments

Booking is free. Diagnostic payments are processed separately through Stripe before diagnosis begins. We do not receive or store your full card number.

4. Booking provider

Appointments are scheduled through Cal.com. Their systems may process booking information and essential cookies needed to provide scheduling and payment functions.

5. File access and recovered data

We aim to access only information reasonably necessary for diagnosis and recovery. We do not sell customer files or personal information. If recovered files are temporarily stored for transfer, they should be deleted after the agreed transfer period.

6. Retention

Booking and transaction records may be retained as reasonably necessary for customer support, fraud prevention, accounting, chargeback handling, and legal compliance. Recovery-session notes should be kept only as long as operationally necessary.

7. Security

No remote-access or internet service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure. We use reasonable operational safeguards and ask customers not to share passwords or unrelated confidential information during a session.

8. Your choices

You may request correction or deletion of information that we control, subject to legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute-related retention requirements.

9. Contact

Use the contact method published on remoteusbrecovery.com for privacy-related requests.

10. Account sign-in and passkeys

If you create an account, we store your Google account identifier, name, email, language and time-zone preferences, and sign-in session records. Provider tokens are encrypted at rest by the account service. Passkey records contain a public key and device metadata, not your fingerprint, face scan, device PIN, or private key. You can manage your profile, registered passkeys and signed-in sessions from Account. Account data is stored in Cloudflare D1; Google processes Google sign-in.
